Job summary

Cogir Senior Living is seeking a Cook to join our community restaurant, serving residents, families, and guests with fresh, delicious meals prepared from scratch. You will work closely with the culinary director to create a rotating seasonal menu featuring local ingredients and global-inspired options.

The ideal candidate brings at least 1 year of kitchen experience, knowledge of dietary needs for seniors, and ability to read and execute recipes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Food Handler Card and understanding of kitchen sanitation.
• Culinary education or equivalent experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals following established menus and dietary guidelines.
• Set up and break down work areas on time.
• Keep stations clean and sanitized.
• Collaborate with dining services for timely meal service.
• Check and restock foods for proper service.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations.
• Participate in training including food handling and safety.
• Handle cleaning supplies storage properly.
• Aid in kitchen operations as needed.
