Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation in Appleton, Wisconsin is seeking a Completions Liaison/Design Engineer (Weekend Shift) Technical Specialist I to support the structural/mechanical engineering completions group in outfitting new large cabin aircraft.

The role focuses on cabinetry, monuments, wire harnesses and interior furnishings, with opportunities to work on engineering design, modeling and drafting, collaborating with Operations, Engineering, Certification and Quality to resolve production

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
5 yrs in specific technical discipline or 10 yrs broad eng experience in several technical disciplines.
Experience credit considered for related adv degrees limited to 2 yrs for Masters, 4 yrs for PhD in fields applicable to this job.
Position supports planning, coordination, performance of design, analysis and liaison engineering.

Responsibilities

Review and disposition of all manufacturing issues relating to material discrepancies, engineering data, and electrical harnesses.
Determine root causes of engineering errors and drive solutions back to the upfront engineering process to improve quality.
Ensure Operations and Engineering are informed of all in-work issues that could impact the current aircraft schedule.
Coordinate with other groups to assure design requirements and objectives are maintained.
Create engineering data as required based on departmental needs.
Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and strong project management capabilities.
Liaison and MRB experience creating dispositions in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
EWIS experience preferred.
Must have working knowledge of AutoCAD and CATIA V5.
Knowledge of 14 CFR Part 25 FAA certification procedures is a plus, but on the job training is available.
