Job summary

Gulfstream Aerospace is seeking an Interior Install Technician IV for a weekend shift in Appleton. The role involves safely removing, installing, and fabricating aircraft interiors such as galleys, closets, lavatories, and panels on a 3x12 schedule with pay for 40 hours.

You will coordinate with supervision and inspectors to ensure compliance with FAA paperwork and quality standards. You will mentor other technicians, accept lead responsibilities, and oversee projects, while using lean processes

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 4 years of applicable installation, fabrication or related experience.
• Experience in aerospace industry preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation.
• Able to climb ladders and stairs, lift up to 40 pounds and work any shift.
• Must be computer literate.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Must be fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Safely perform aircraft interior removal, installation, and fabrication of interiors.
• Coordinate with supervision and Inspection to ensure compliance with procedures and paperwork.
• Mentor and train other Interior Installation Technicians.
• Accept lead responsibilities and oversee projects or other technicians and assess requirements.
• Use material tracking system to create parts demand and sign-off work.
• Follow SOPs when using tools and maintain shop equipment.
• Prepare and install aircraft interior items per procedures and quality standards.
• Remove and reinstall nut plates, inserts and fasteners used in interiors.
• Comply with safety and housekeeping policies and address unsafe conditions.
• Assist technicians with aircraft maintenance requirements.
• Adapt to schedule changes and coordinate with other shops.
