Job summary

El Puente is seeking a Cornerstone Weekend Coordinator in Brooklyn to oversee Saturday programming and foster a welcoming space for neighbors of all ages. You will organize intergenerational activities and build ties with schools, faith groups, and community centers to recruit participants and partners.

The role is part-time, with Saturday hours 10:00 AM–5:00 PM, and compensation of $25 per hour. You will supervise co-locators, maintain rosters, ensure safety, and report progress to the Program

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating community programs, events, or activities for participants of different ages.
• Ability to supervise activities and coordinate with staff and partners, calmly handling schedule changes or safety concerns.
• Strong communication and organizational skills with accurate roster and incident reporting.
• Availability to work Saturdays 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. and flexibility to support other El Puente locations.
• Willingness to complete CPR and RTE training.

Responsibilities

• Plan and facilitate intergenerational activities and events, such as game tournaments, bingo, performances, and community celebrations.
• Build relationships with neighborhood offices, schools, faith-based organizations, and community centers to promote Saturday programming and recruit participants and partner groups.
• Recruit, schedule, and supervise co-locators and activity leaders during Saturday programming. Coordinate room assignments and communicate schedule changes.
• Help new participants enroll and find activities that match their interests. Maintain current rosters and sign-in sheets, and share them with activity leaders and security as needed.
