Job summary

BWX Technologies, Inc. seeks a VMC/VBM/Lathe Operator at our Barberton, Ohio facility. You will set up and operate CNC vertical machining centers, vertical boring mills and lathes, reading drawings and using precision measuring tools to ensure tight tolerances.

We offer a weekend shift (12h Sat-Sun and 8h Mon, with option Fri) and a comprehensive benefits package. Candidates must be U.S. citizens and pass pre-employment checks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3 years experience machining large components on CNC VMCs or VBMs.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and open to working any shift.
• Completion of skills assessment and mechanical aptitude test prior to consideration.
• Ability to read drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC vertical machining center and lathe.
• Use CNC controls to operate or maintain machines and fixtures.
• Work with fixtures and tool setters; use precision measuring equipment.
• Keep work area clean and safe.
• Pass fork truck and crane tests.
