We are currently seeking applicants to fill the role of VMC/VBM/Lathe Operator at our facility in Barberton, Ohio.
Candidates please note:This position is available on our weekend shift, which consists of twelve (12) hours on Saturday and Sunday and eight (8) hours on Monday (the eight hour shift could be Fridayinstead of Monday); work thirty two (32) hours and get paid for forty (40) hours. Scheduled off days are Tuesday through Friday or Monday through Thursday depending upon the shift. Training will be on the Monday - Friday crew before being assigned to the weekend crew.
Sets up and operates CNC vertical machining center with vertical and horizontal capabilities, CNC vertical boring mill and CNC operated lathe. Utilize CNC controls to operateor maintain machines, right angle heads, CN facing heads, inspection probe, grinding/tools attachments, tool setter and all types of fixtures. Operate a variety of hand tools including precision measuring equipment, grinding/cleaning equipment, radio and floor operated cranes and any other tools for fulfillment of job duties. Keep work area and machines clean and orderly. Must pass tests such as but not limited to fork truck and crane operator.
A high school diploma or GED is required, along with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in machining large components on either CNC VMCs or CNC VBMs. Additionally, the selected candidate must be a U.S. citizen and must be open to working any shift. Additional qualifications include:
While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required communicate verbally and with written information; to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to walk. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and use ladders inside and outside of parts being machined. The employee is occasionally required to lift and move up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Pay for this position is $43.68 per hour and is complemented by a generous benefits package.

The starting rate for this position in Ohio (US-OH) is $43.68 per hour. The total compensation package for this position may also include a full range of medical, retirement and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment and are subject to a collective bargaining agreement.
