Job summary

Herker Industries, Inc. is seeking a skilled CNC technician to measure, set up, and operate CNC machinery in a production environment. You will interpret blueprints, select and secure tools and fixtures, and monitor machines to ensure parts meet specifications.

The role requires hands-on experience with machining sequences, tool changes, lubrication, and setup optimization. Candidates should be able to read plans and adjust processes to maintain quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

Measures dimensions of finished workpieces with precision tools.
Interprets blueprints and specifications for machining.
Sets up, aligns and secures tools, fixtures and workpieces.

Responsibilities

Measure dimensions of finished workpieces using precision instruments.
Mount, align, and secure tools, attachments, fixtures, and workpieces on machines.
Stop machines to change tooling or adjust setup per machining sequences.
Transfer commands from servers to CNC modules and load programs.
Maintain lubrication and cooling during operation.
Set up and operate CNC machines or robots for defined functions.
Review specifications to determine operations and sequencing and expected dimensions.
Monitor machines and adjust speeds/feeds as needed; replace dull tools.
