Job summary

Laborup in Nashville is seeking CNC Laser Cutter Technicians to set up and run CNC flat lasers (Amada, Trumpf, Bystronic) for architectural metal facades. You will load programs, verify first articles, and inspect parts against blueprints.

The role requires reading drawings, operating CNC equipment, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Weekend shifts and overtime opportunities are available in a fast-paced shop environment.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED.
Ability to read mechanical drawings and blueprints.
Work from digital cut files.
Use tape measures and digital calipers.
Lift/move materials up to 50 lbs.
Stand for extended periods and repeat tasks.
Spot edge defects on cut parts.

Responsibilities

Set up CNC flat lasers for each material and thickness.
Run the laser and monitor for burrs/edge defects.
Read engineering blueprints and tolerances.
Upload digital cut files into the CNC controller.
Perform first article inspections with calipers/tape measures.
Load sheets with forklifts/cranes/suction lifters.
Label and stage finished parts for press brakes.
Clean machine slats and check lens wear routinely.
