Job summary

Viper Northwest is seeking a CNC Horizontal Mill Machinist for a weekend shift (Fri-Sun) with hours from 6:00am to 6:30pm. The role requires a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a precision machine shop and horizontal mill expertise.

Pay ranges from $30 to $36 per hour, plus a 10% weekend differential, and involves inspecting parts to tight tolerances. You will program, set up, and operate CNC mills and related equipment, reading blueprints, GD&T, and tool selection to produce precision parts for

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or trade certification preferred.
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Horizontal Machinist in a precision machine shop.
CAD/CAM programming experience preferred.
Proficient in reading prints and GD&T.
Basic computer skills with Windows, data collection software and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

Program, edit, and log CNC programs and maintain program logs.
Set up milling and lathe operations; ensure proper tooling and fixtures.
Machining to GD&T tolerances on metals and plastics; select cutting tools appropriately.
Verify settings, measure parts, and maintain quality standards.
Adhere to safety policies and support on-time delivery goals.
