Job summary

Ocean Gardens Care Center in New York seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join the Nursing Department. The role follows the resident care plan, assists with ADLs, personal care, and mobility, and supports admission, transfer, and discharge procedures.

Requirements include a current NYS CNA certification and registry listing; some geriatric experience is preferred. The position offers weekend availability and strong union benefits in a patient-centered setting.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current NYS nurses aide certification and be listed in the New York State RHCF Nurses Aide Registry.
• Some geriatric experience is preferable.

Responsibilities

• Performs all direct care services in accordance with Resident’s Care Plan.
• Assists with ADLs including walking, toileting, changing residents, and feeding with or without assistance.
• Provides personal hygiene care including mouth, foot, eye and ear care.
• Helps admit and discharge residents as directed by Nurse in charge.
• Assists with lifting, turning, moving and transferring residents.
• Performs daily ROM exercises and documents as indicated.
• Assists with preparations for physical examinations.
• Responsible for safety and privacy, maintains resident dignity per HIPAA.
