Job summary

Assured Quality Homecare - Rhode Island is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for weekend availability with flexible full-time or part-time options. The role includes providing one-on-one personal care to older adults in their homes during weekends, with emphasis on safety and independence.

The weekend CNA will assist with daily living activities, mobility, meals, medication reminders, and companionship, following each client’s care plan.

Qualifications

• Active Rhode Island CNA license in good standing (RI) before working independently with clients.
• Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Technology: Basic smartphone proficiency to access client schedules and log shift documentation.
• Transportation: Valid driver’s license, reliable personal vehicle, and current auto insurance.
• Core Requirements: Ability to work independently, maintain client confidentiality, and pass required background and health screenings.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized, one-on-one personal care and daily living support to older adults in home settings.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene with dignity.
• Support safe walking, transfers, and prescribed exercises.
• Prepare nutritious meals and ensure hydration.
• Provide medication reminders, light housekeeping, and laundry management.
• Engage clients in conversation, activities, or hobbies for social well-being.
• Execute care plans accurately during each weekend visit.
• Escalate changes to the ASQ team and document promptly.
