Job summary

Doctors Hospital of Augusta, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist PRN for weekend coverage (0530–2PM or 6AM–2:30PM). You will participate in clinical programs, monitor med regimens, mentor staff, and support clinical/operational initiatives.

The role requires a PharmD or B.S. in Pharmacy, active pharmacist license, at least 3 years hospital experience, and PGY1/PGY2 residency or BCPS certification. Competitive benefits included.

Qualifications

• B.S. or PharmD from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy; Doctor of Pharmacy preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: Active pharmacist license in good standing with the appropriate State Board of Pharmacy.
• Minimum of 3 years of clinical hospital pharmacy experience.
• Completion of hospital PGY1 or PGY2 residency or fellowship.
• Specialty BCPS certification.
• Other certifications (e.g., FCCP, FASHP, FASCP, CDE, CPE).

Responsibilities

• Interpret orders and verify them in the pharmacy system.
• Accurately compound and dispense pharmaceuticals.
• Monitor drug therapy regimens for contraindications and interactions.
• Provide clinical consultation and cost-effective therapeutic alternatives.
• Lead and mentor pharmacy staff and students.
• Participate in daily rounds and pharmacy quality initiatives.
• Document interventions and provide summary reports.
