Freedom Village is hiring a weekend part-time driver in the Transportation department. The role involves transporting residents and staff to appointments, malls, and events, and assisting residents with boarding, belongings, and safety.

Candidates must hold a valid Class B commercial license with passenger endorsement and maintain a clean driving record. Prior experience with seniors is a plus, and fingerprint background checks apply.

Qualifications

• Requires a valid Class B commercial license with passenger endorsement.
• Previous experience working with seniors is a plus.
• Maintain a positive driving record and provide a current copy of the H6 DMV printout.
• Ability to understand and follow safety transportation rules.

Responsibilities

• Provide transportation services to residents and associates.
• Assist with resident drop-off/pick-up at appointments and local trips.
• Drive residents to shopping malls, medical appointments, trips and churches.
• Help residents to and from the vehicle or bus and assist with personal items.
• Operate the vehicle or bus safely and ensure passengers are secured before departure.
• Review daily schedule and map areas for assignments.
• Complete pre-trip inspections and safety checks; report concerns to the Supervisor.
