Job summary

Oakmont Management Group's Ivy Park at Mission Viejo is seeking a part-time Driver to safely operate the community vehicles and supervise residents during outings. Weekend shifts and flexible scheduling are available.

The Driver will assist with activity setups, maintain safety standards, and collaborate with staff across departments. Required: 21+ years old, High school diploma, Class B/C license with Passenger Endorsement, and strong customer service; background checks and health screenings

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must have a Class B or Class C license with Passenger Endorsement to drive the bus.
• Prefer two years of experience driving a vehicle transporting people.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, physicians, healthcare professionals, residents, and families.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including TB tests and vaccination requirements as per policy.

Responsibilities

• Operate community vehicles safely on outings, excursions, special activities, and personal resident appointments.
• Assist with the safe loading of residents and their belongings onto and off community vehicles.
• Follow all state and federal laws when operating community vehicles.
• Comply with standards and processes for proper vehicle inspection and driving, ensuring safety and punctuality.
• Act as a member of the activity staff when on outings/excursions and within the community.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, following established safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.
