Job summary

Oakmont Senior Living seeks a Driver to safely operate community vehicles for outings and activities, and to supervise residents during trips. The role may involve assisting with setup and breakdown of events in the community, aligning with the organization’s mission and values.

Ideal candidates have a Class B or C license with Passenger Endorsement and a high school diploma, plus customer service skills and the ability to interact with residents, families, and staff.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have Class B or C license with Passenger Endorsement to drive the bus.
• Prefer two years of experience driving vehicle/van/bus transporting people.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Able to interact with employees, supervisors, physicians, healthcare professionals, residents and families.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests (physical and TB).
• Vaccination/PPE may be required per regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Operate community vehicles safely on outings, excursions, and resident appointments.
• Assist with safe loading/unloading of residents and belongings.
• Follow all state and federal vehicle laws.
• Ensure vehicle inspections and safe driving practices.
• Act as a member of activity staff during outings and within the community.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for staff, residents, and guests.
• Encourage teamwork with coworkers and other departments.
