Job summary

Eurofins USA PSS Insourcing Solutions seeks a Chemist to perform routine sample preparation and tobacco analysis using GC and related equipment. You will document results, interpret procedures, calibrate instruments, and communicate findings to client staff from Winston-Salem, NC.

The ideal candidate has 2-4 years of GC experience, familiarity with cGMP/ISO 17025, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team with a positive attitude.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of GC experience.
• Experience in a cGMP and ISO 17025 environment.
• Strong computer, scientific and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of chromatography; Empower or Chromeleon helpful.
• Excellent communication and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and in a team; self-motivated and adaptable.
• Ability to learn new techniques and keep accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine sample preparation using wet chemistry techniques and GC machinery.
• Conduct analytical tobacco testing using GC/GC-MS and related equipment.
• Maintain high accuracy and precision in all lab work.
• Document results in notebooks and computer systems.
• Read, interpret and update analytical procedures as needed.
• Calibrate instruments, identify errors and apply process improvements.
• Review and verify data; communicate with client staff.
