Job summary

Eurofins USA PSS Insourcing Solutions in Winston-Salem, NC is seeking an Analytical Laboratory Technician to perform sample preparation and analyses using HPLC, GC, ICP and related techniques, ensuring documentation in line with GLP.

The role emphasizes strict compliance with 17025, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as in a team. Overtime and weekend work may be required; comprehensive benefits are offered.

Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Applies GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility, as appropriate
• Applies the highest quality standard in all areas of responsibility

• Applies 17025 compliance standards in all areas of responsibility, as appropriate
• Performs routine sample preparation and analyses in support of product assessment and quality control on products utilizing one or more analytical techniques (e.g., HPLC, GC, ICP, mass spectrometry, smoking machines, or other special purpose equipment and/or multiple wet chemistry and physical techniques.)
• Performs preparation of samples for testing by weighing, for example
• Performs sample preparation on tobacco products using wet chemistry techniques; provides support to analytical chemists
• Operates simple lab equipment
• Accurately documents results in notebooks and laboratory LIMS, in compliance with good documentation practices
• Performs instrument calibration and recognizes errors
• Adheres to highest quality standards; ensures compliance with quality system requirements
• Communicates effectively with client staff members and co-workers

Qualifications

• High School Diploma minimum is required
• At least one year related laboratory or quality control experience; familiarity with standard lab concepts, practices, and procedures
• Wet lab experience
• Making solutions, weighing, following work instructions
• Laboratory experience
• Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
• Excellent communication (oral and written)
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
• Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies

Additional Information

• Position is Monday- Friday 8:00 AM- 5:00PM. Overtime as needed.
• May be requested to work on weekends, overtime, and holidays based on business needs
