Job summary

Eurofins USA PSS Insourcing Solutions is seeking a Chemist to perform routine sample prep and analytical testing of tobacco products using GC/GCMS and related lab equipment. The candidate will document results, calibrate instruments, and update procedures with attention to accuracy and compliance.

Ideal applicants hold a Bachelor's in Chemistry with 2–4 years of GC experience in a cGMP/ISO 17025 environment, strong communication, and the ability to work both independently and with a team in

Qualifications

• Bachelors in chemistry or related field; 2 years of related industry experience acceptable in lieu of coursework.
• 2-4 years working with GC systems.
• Experience in a cGMP and ISO 17025 environment.
• Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills.
• Working knowledge of chromatography; Empower or Chromeleon software helpful.
• Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; self-motivated and adaptable.

Responsibilities

• Document results accurately in notebooks and computer systems.

Job Description

Chemist responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following

• Perform routine sample preparation using wet chemistry techniques, and smoking machines for tobacco products
• Perform analytical testing of tobacco using GC/GCMS and other ancillary laboratory equipment
• Perform all lab work with high degree of accuracy and precision
• Document results accurately in notebooks and computer systems
• Read, understand, and interpret analytical procedures, update procedures as needed
• Perform instrument calibration, recognizes errors, identifies root causes, applies process improvements
• Review and verify data
• Communicate effectively with client staff members

Qualifications

The ideal candidate would possess

• Bachelors degree in chemistry, biology, or other related degree concentration, or equivalent directly-related experience (2 years of directly related industry experience is equivalent to1 full-time year of college in related major)
• 2-4 years working with GC
• Experience in a cGMP and ISO 17025 environment
• Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
• Working knowledge of chromatography, experience with Empower or Chromeleon software helpful
• Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
• Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies

• Position is full-time, working Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m.-5:00p.movertime as needed
