Job summary

Eurofins USA PSS Insourcing Solutions seeks a Chemist to perform routine sample preparation and tobacco analysis using GC and related equipment. You will document results, interpret procedures, calibrate instruments, and communicate findings to client staff from Winston-Salem, NC.

The ideal candidate has 2-4 years of GC experience, familiarity with cGMP/ISO 17025, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team with a positive attitude.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of GC experience.
• Experience in a cGMP and ISO 17025 environment.
• Strong computer, scientific and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of chromatography; Empower or Chromeleon helpful.
• Excellent communication and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and in a team; self-motivated and adaptable.
• Ability to learn new techniques and keep accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine sample preparation using wet chemistry techniques and GC machinery.
• Conduct analytical tobacco testing using GC/GC-MS and related equipment.
• Maintain high accuracy and precision in all lab work.
• Document results in notebooks and computer systems.
• Read, interpret and update analytical procedures as needed.
• Calibrate instruments, identify errors and apply process improvements.
• Review and verify data; communicate with client staff.

Job Description

Chemistresponsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Perform routine sample preparation using wet chemistry techniques, and smoking machines for tobacco products

Perform analytical testing of tobacco usingGC/GCMS and other ancillary laboratory equipment

Perform all lab work with high degree of accuracy and precision

Documentresults accuratelyin notebooks and computer systems

Read, understand, andinterpret analytical procedures, update procedures as needed

Perform instrument calibration, recognizes errors, identifies root causes, applies process improvements

Reviewand verify data

Communicate effectively with client staff members

Qualifications

The ideal candidate would possess:

2-4years working withGC

Experience in a cGMP and ISO 17025 environment

Strongcomputer, scientific,and organizational skills

Working knowledge of chromatography, experience with Empower or Chromeleon software helpful

Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail

Ability to work independentlyand as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability,and a positive attitude

Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions,and comply with company policies

Additional Information

• Position is Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 7:00am- 7:00pm Overtime as needed
• May be requested to work on weekends, overtime, and holidays based on business needs
