Job summary

Viridian Wellness & Rehabilitation, Arlington, TX is seeking an experienced Charge Nurse for weekend coverage (Saturday and Sunday). The role directs CNAs, ensures policy compliance, and participates in admissions, discharges, and transfers.

You will transcribe physician orders, administer medications, perform wound care, lead nursing staff, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure holistic resident care while maintaining confidentiality under HIPAA.

Qualifications

• RN or LPN license in the practicing state
• CPR certification required
• Long-term care experience preferred but not required
• Nursing degree from an accredited program

Responsibilities

• Direct the daily activities of CNAs and ensure policy compliance
• Participate in admissions, discharge, and transfer of residents
• Observe and document changes in resident status
• Transcribe physician orders and carry out orders as written
• Administer medications and perform wound treatments as needed
• Provide leadership to nursing staff and promote teamwork
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure holistic care
• Maintain adequate stock of medications, supplies, and equipment
• Participate in end-of-life care as needed
• Protect confidentiality of protected health information
