Job summary

Viridian Wellness & Rehabilitation in Arlington, TX is seeking an experienced Charge Nurse to lead CNAs during the 6AM–6PM weekend schedule. You will oversee daily resident care, coordinate admissions, and ensure regulatory compliance while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.

You will transcribe physician orders, administer medications, document status changes, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to provide holistic care.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree or approved LPN/LVN program.
• Current unrestricted RN or LPN license in Texas.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

Shift: 6AM - 6PM

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Charge Nurse to join our team at Viridian Wellness & Rehabilitation, a leading long-term care provider in Arlington, TX. As a Charge Nurse, you will play a vital role in the daily operations of our facility, overseeing the care and well-being of our residents while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and guidelines.

About the Role:

The Charge Nurse is responsible for directing the daily activities of certified nursing assistants (CNAs) and ensuring that policies and procedures are followed. You will also participate in the admission, discharge, and transfer of residents, as well as observe and document changes in their status. Additionally, you will transcribe physician orders, administer medications, and perform wound treatments as needed.

Required Qualifications:

• Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university or a graduate of an approved LPN/LVN program

• Current unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the practicing state
• Current CPR certification

Working Conditions:

• May be subject to falls, burns, and exposure to infectious waste, diseases, and conditions
• May work beyond normal working hours and on weekends, holidays when necessary
• Subject to frequent interruptions and frequent call-backs during emergency conditions

• Agreement to abide by all standards, policies, and procedures is a condition of employment
• Compliance will be a factor in evaluating job performance
• Violations, including failure to report violations, will result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination
