Job summary

Banner University Medical Center – Phoenix in Phoenix, Arizona, seeks a Special Procedure Technologist to join the Cardiac Cath Lab team. You will assist in Cardiac catheterization, device implants, EP, and TAVR in a dynamic hybrid suite, working weekend 2x12h shifts.

Ideal candidate has at least 3 years Cath Lab experience, ARRT, BLS and ACLS, and the ability to train quickly; Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Qualifications

• Certificate or diploma from an approved/accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology as required by state law.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) where applicable.
• Post primary certification with minimum of 3 years Cath Lab, EP, or equivalent experience, or 5 years with 2 years in moderate acuity/complex coronary environment.

Responsibilities

• Assumes direct patient care and serves as a resource to staff for clinical support.
• Provides equipment education and supports EP program needs; coordinates with vendors and other departments.
• Facilitates patient flow and ensures safe, cost-effective care while considering patient satisfaction.
• Performs scheduled/preventive maintenance and safety inspections on patient care equipment; communicates status of repairs.
• Supports process improvement and quality management activities within the department/system.
• Adheres to ethical, legal, and professional responsibilities; maintains patient confidentiality and safety.
• Practices aseptic/sterile techniques and universal precautions; disposes of sharps and trash and prepares instruments for cleaning.
• Ensures efficient workflow and adherence to policies and procedures.

Education

Radiologic Technology program

ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology

Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
