Job summary

Eaton is hiring a Carrier Builder - Weekend Daylight in Middlesex, NC. This is a Friday through Sunday shift (6:00 am–6:30 pm) with a 40-hour workweek and an hourly rate of $21.47.

Role focuses on hands-on carrier repairs for braiding cells, ensuring proper carrier tension, rebuilds, and meeting operations timelines. Safety and CI practices required, with opportunities to contribute to process improvements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 3 years using measurement tools (calipers, gauges, etc.).
• Minimum 3 years manufacturing/mechanical experience.
• No immigration sponsorship or STEM OPT support.
• No relocation benefit; candidates within 50 miles preferred.
• Export-controlled information requires U.S. person status.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble braiding carriers and inspect/reassemble for operation.
• Troubleshoot carrier failures during repairs and tension changes.
• Change carrier tension by interchanging springs per run order.
• Coordinate with production to meet carrier needs and rebuild demand.
• Plan work to meet operations timelines and safety requirements.
• Use drill press, angle grinder and power tools as needed.
• Collaborate with Operations and ATS across shifts to meet carrier needs.
• Maintain carrier run-time tracking in e-factory and carrier sheets.
• Support continuous improvement and adhere to safety and ethics policies.
