Job summary

Home Instead in Charlottesville, VA is seeking caregivers for weekend shifts to support seniors at home. You can choose from several weekend time blocks and earn competitive hourly rates. Training is provided, and benefits include mileage reimbursement, paid time off, and ongoing education.

This role requires caregiving experience or willingness to train, a valid driver’s license with insured vehicle, and the ability to lift at least 25 lbs. Background and drug tests are required before start.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months caregiving experience or certification (CNA/HHA/PCA/DSP) or willingness to train.
• Valid driver’s license and vehicle with insurance.
• Able to lift at least 25 lbs.
• Able to pass criminal background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and conversation.
• Assist with mobility, transfers and light exercise.
• Meal preparation and medication reminders.
• Support personal hygiene (bathing, dressing, grooming).
• Light housekeeping and errands/appointments transport.
