Job summary

Home Instead in Charlottesville, VA is hiring caregivers to provide compassionate in-home support in and around Crozet. You will assist clients with companionship, mobility, meals, personal care, light housekeeping, and transportation, following safety guidelines.

The role offers flexible scheduling across 4, 6, 8, and 12 hour shifts, with weekend and overnight options. Pay ranges from $17.00–$22.00 per hour plus benefits, training, and mileage reimbursement.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months caregiving experience or CNA, HHA, PCA, DSP, or willing to train.
• Valid driver’s license and insured vehicle.
• Must be at least 18 and able to lift at least 25 lbs.
• Pass a criminal background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Companionship & Conversation.
• Mobility, Transfers, Light Exercise.
• Meal Preparation & Medication Reminders.
• Support with Personal Hygiene (bathing, dressing, grooming).
• Light Housekeeping.
• Occasional Transportation (errands, appointments, outings).
