Job summary
Trove Home Care is seeking a Weekend Caregiver to support clients in the Richmond area, including Midlothian. This role offers weekend hours with a pathway to consistent schedules and 24/7 care team support.
Pay ranges from $18 to $25 per hour based on experience, plus a $100 Weekend Bonus after 50 weekend hours. Background checks and MVR screening are required.
Qualifications
- CNA, PCA, or HHA certification preferred.
- At least 6 months of caregiving experience (professional or personal) preferred.
- Strong communication skills with clients, families, and team members.
- A valid driver's license and active auto insurance.
- The ability to follow individualized care plans and maintain accurate documentation.
- A reliable, responsible attitude and commitment to scheduled weekend hours.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, dependable support to help clients feel safe, comfortable, and independent at home.
- Assist with transportation to appointments and errands, medication reminders, meal preparation, and companionship.
- Perform personal care tasks as trained (dressing, grooming, hygiene, feeding, mobility, bathing, transfers, toileting).
- Follow individualized care plans and maintain accurate documentation.
- Support that helps clients stay comfortable and independent at home.

Every client is different, and your responsibilities will depend on your experience, training, and certifications.
You may help clients with:
- Transportation to appointments and errands
- Medication reminders
- Meal preparation and assistance with cooking
- Companionship and meaningful conversation
- Support that helps clients stay comfortable and independent at home
Caregivers with the appropriate certifications, such as CNA, PCA, or HHA, may also provide hands-on assistance with:
- Dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene
- Feeding
- Mobility and ambulation
- Bathing
- Transfers between beds and chairs
- Toileting and incontinence care
We're looking for caregivers who are dependable, compassionate, and genuinely care about the people they serve.
Our ideal caregiver has:
- CNA, PCA, or HHA certification preferred
- At least 6 months of caregiving experience (professional or personal) preferred
- Strong communication skills with clients, families, and team members
