Job summary

Home Instead Seattle is seeking compassionate weekend caregivers (CNA/HCA) for part-time morning and weekend shifts to provide in-home care to older adults. We offer paid training, 24/7 office support, and opportunities for professional growth. Prior Hoyer lift experience and CNA/HCA certification are required.

Caregivers will assist with ADLs, mobility, light housekeeping, and safety, while building trusting relationships with clients and families in the Kenmore and South Seattle areas.

Qualifications

• An active HCA or CNA certification (REQUIRED).
• Experience using a Hoyer lift (REQUIRED).
• A valid driver's license and auto insurance (preferred, but not required).
• Comfortable working in a home with cats.
• A compassionate, patient, and dependable attitude.
• Committed to treating clients and their homes with dignity and respect.

Responsibilities

• Assist with ADLs: bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, hygiene.
• Safe transfers and mobility assistance using Hoyer lift.
• Ambulation and transfers: walking in/out of bed or chairs.
• Light housekeeping.
• Pet care assistance.
• Monitor and promote client safety, comfort, and wellbeing.
• Communicate effectively with client, family, and Home Instead team.

Weekend Caregiver(CNA/HCA)

Part-Time | Morning Shifts Available immediately SAT 8AM-12PM SUN 10AM-9PM

Service Areas

This position will primarily serve clients in: Primarily Kenmore and South Seattle

Client Care Needs

The ideal caregiver will be comfortable providing hands-on personal care and mobility assistance while promoting the client's safety, dignity, and independence. Responsibilities include:

• Assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and hygiene assistance
• Safe transfers and mobility assistance using Hoyer lift
• Ambulation and transfers, including assisting the client with walking and getting in and out of bed or chairs
• Light housekeeping
• Pet care assistance
• Monitoring and promoting client safety, comfort, and well-being
• Communicating effectively and compassionately with the client, family members, and the Home Instead care team

Qualifications

• An active HCA or CNA certification (REQUIRED)
• Experience using a Hoyer lift (REQUIRED) - Please do not apply unless you have Hoyer Experience
• A valid driver's license and auto insurance (preferred, but not required)

Pay & Benefits

• $22.00–$32.00 per hour, depending on shift
