Job summary

Home Instead Seattle is seeking compassionate caregivers with active CNA/HCA certification to support older adults in their homes. Full-time and part-time morning shifts are available, including SAT/SUN 8AM-12PM, with pay ranging $22.00–$32.00 per hour and ongoing training.

Responsibilities include assisting with ADLs, safe mobility with a Hoyer lift, light housekeeping, and pet care, while communicating effectively with clients and families.

Qualifications

• Active CNA or HCA certification required.
• Hoyer lift experience required; do not apply without.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and hygiene.
• Provide safe transfers and mobility assistance using a Hoyer lift.
• Aid ambulation and transfers and assist client in bed or chair transitions.
• Perform light housekeeping and pet care as needed.
• Monitor client safety and comfort, and promote well-being.
• Communicate compassionately with client, family, and Home Instead team.

Client Care Needs

The ideal caregiver will be comfortable providing hands-on personal care and mobility assistance while promoting the client's safety, dignity, and independence. Responsibilities include:

• Assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and hygiene assistance
• Safe transfers and mobility assistance using Hoyer lift
• Ambulation and transfers, including assisting the client with walking and getting in and out of bed or chairs
• Light housekeeping
• Pet care assistance
• Monitoring and promoting client safety, comfort, and well-being
• Communicating effectively and compassionately with the client, family members, and the Home Instead care team

Qualifications

• An active HCA or CNA certification (REQUIRED)
• Experience using a Hoyer lift (REQUIRED) - Please do not apply unless you have Hoyer Experience
• A valid driver's license and auto insurance (preferred, but not required)
• Comfortable working in a home with cats
• A compassionate, patient, and dependable attitude
