Job summary

Assisting Hands Home Care in Sewanee, TN is seeking a Weekend Caregiver to provide compassionate, non-medical in-home support for clients on Saturdays and Sundays. You will work closely with our caregiving team to ensure clients receive dependable assistance in their daily lives.

You will help with personal care, meals, medication reminders, light housekeeping, errands, and companionship, collaborating to maintain clients' dignity and independence.

Qualifications

Role Overview:

As a Weekend Caregiver at Assisting Hands Home Care, you will be responsible for providing essential, compassionate care to our clients during the weekends. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with our caregiving team to ensure that our clients receive the support they need to maintain their dignity and independence. Whether you work full-time or part-time, you'll have the flexibility to work directly with clients who rely on your expertise and companionship.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide personal care services such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
2. Assist with meal preparation and dietary needs.
3. Offer medication reminders to ensure clients adhere to their prescribed regimens.
4. Engage in light housekeeping duties to maintain a safe and clean environment.
5. Accompany clients on errands and appointments as needed.
6. Foster companionship by spending quality time with clients, establishing trust and friendship.

Qualifications:

You're a great fit if you have the following skills.

1. Previous experience in caregiving or a related field.
2. Strong communication skills in English.
3. Compassionate and patient personality, with a dedication to improving client quality of life.
4. Ability to perform physical tasks associated with caregiving.
5. Availability to work weekends, specifically Saturdays and Sundays.

Bonus If You:

1. Have CPR and First Aid certification.
2. Possess experience with elderly care or individuals with disabilities.
3. Are familiar with medication administration policies.

Employment Type & Availability:

This position is available as both Full-Time and Part-Time, with shifts on Saturdays and Sundays.

Location:

This position is on-site only, located in Sewanee, Tennessee, with a focus on clients in the surrounding area.
