Assisting Hands of Orland Park is seeking a Weekend In-Home Non-Medical Caregiver to provide companionship, personal assistance, and daily living support to clients in their homes. Under supervision of the Care Manager, you will promote a safe, comfortable environment while encouraging independence and preserving dignity.

This weekend position requires compassion, reliability, and strong communication. Hours are weekend-based with flexible scheduling options; training and development

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of home care or related field preferred.
• Ability to follow care plans and instructions.
• Commitment to protecting client privacy, dignity, and confidentiality.
• Availability to work weekends, including Saturdays and Sundays, as scheduled.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene.
• Prepare meals and perform light housekeeping tasks.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Assist with mobility and daily living activities.
• Remind clients to take medications according to the established care plan and applicable guidelines.
• Ensure the home environment remains clean, safe, and comfortable.
• Monitor and promptly report any concerns or changes in the client’s well‑being to the appropriate supervisor.
• Provide dependable care during scheduled weekend shifts.

Under the supervision of the Care Manager and in accordance with each client’s individualized Plan of Care, the caregiver will help promote a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment while encouraging independence, preserving dignity, and enhancing overall quality of life.

Responsibilities:

• Assist clients with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene.
• Prepare meals and perform light housekeeping tasks.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Assist with mobility and daily living activities.
• Remind clients to take medications according to the established care plan and applicable guidelines.
• Ensure the home environment remains clean, safe, and comfortable.

• Provide dependable care during scheduled weekend shifts.

Working Hours:

This is a weekend position, with shifts available on Saturdays and Sundays based on client needs and caregiver availability. Flexible scheduling may be available, including morning, afternoon, evening, and overnight shifts. Hours vary depending on client needs and assignments. Please note that we cannot guarantee a fixed number of hours.
