Job summary

Urban Farmer Denver, a Sage Restaurant Group concept, seeks a dedicated line cook to ensure proper service from the front line through quality control and sanitation in a busy steakhouse setting.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of related kitchen experience and a high school diploma, with weekend availability. Pay ranges from USD 21.00–USD 22.00 per hour and includes benefits such as medical/dental/vision, 401(k) with employer matching, PTO, and more.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• Experience required by position is from one to two full years of employment in a related position with this company or other organization(s).
• Knowledge/Skills: Knowledge of cooking and the practices and procedures of a kitchen to perform non-repetitive analytical work.

Responsibilities

• Check items against recipe cards and verify use records for all items served; ensure quality presentation.
• Monitor line setup prior to meals to maximize efficiency during service periods.
• Maintain sanitation and 'clean as you go' policy to meet SOPs.
• Prepare food following recipe cards and production/portion standards, per servers' dupe.
• Rotate and date all perishables; keep at proper temperatures; check pars for shift use.
• Assist in keeping buffet stocked; return unused items to storage with cover/date.
• Help correct food cost problems by reducing waste and monitoring usage per SOP.
