Job summary

Discovery Behavioral Health is seeking a part-time Behavioral Health Tech in Southport, CT. The role supports patients from admission through discharge, assists the care team, and helps implement treatment plans on site.

Responsibilities include ensuring safety, leading daily groups, documenting notes, and providing transportation as needed. A valid driver’s license and MH field experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• High School Diploma (or equivalent) preferred.
• 1+ years experience in mental health, substance use, or eating disorder field preferred.
• Valid and unrestricted State Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients and support treatment plans.
• Ensure patient safety and provide interventions as needed.
• Lead psychoeducational groups and facilitate daily activities.
• Document shift notes and observations promptly.
• Provide transportation support when required and maintain program boundaries.
