Job summary

Discovery Behavioral Health in Pelham, CA is seeking a part-time Behavioral Health Tech to support patients through admission to discharge and contribute to treatment planning. You will assist nursing staff, monitor safety, and help lead psychoeducational groups on weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• Two or more years experience in mental health, substance use or eating disorder field required.
• Valid and unrestricted State Driver's License.
• CPI certification within 90 days of hire.
• CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications within 30 days of hire; Food Handling/Safety certification.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to DBH policies and procedures.
• Maintains a positive and respectful attitude; provides exemplary customer service to patients.
• Facilitates patient daily needs per program schedule and supports patient during admission/discharge.
• Assists nursing staff with duties, vitals, and safety checks.
• Recognizes and responds to crisis situations and provides interventions as appropriate.
• Completes shift notes, group notes, and required documentation by end of shift.
