Job summary

Embraer in Fort Lauderdale, FL is seeking an avionics/electrical systems technician to perform maintenance, troubleshoot, test, repair and install avionics components such as communication, navigation, radar and electronic instrument systems.

You will operate and maintain test equipment and associated tools, interpret wiring diagrams, and follow FAA and company policies for repair and installation work. Five years of depot level avionics experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School/GED required; A&P or FAA Repairman (Avionics) preferred; FCC license desired.
• Experience interpreting avionic/electrical wiring diagrams and assembling harnesses.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine maintenance inspections to prevent failures of avionic systems.
• Inspects and tests navigation, communication, and flight control systems.
• Fabricates wiring harnesses and installs/ modifies avionic and electrical systems.
• Interprets wiring diagrams and tests repaired components for compliance.
• Completes work package documentation and signs off on finished tasks.
