Job summary

5th HQ in Fort Lauderdale is seeking a skilled Avionics or Electronics Technician to join our team. The role involves interpreting drawings, using bench test equipment, troubleshooting, and ensuring FAA compliance.

Ideal candidate will have 3–5 years hands-on experience, an associate degree or technical certification, and familiarity with FAR Part 145 repair stations; A&P or AET certification a plus.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical school certification required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3–5 years hands-on electronics/avionics experience.
• A&P license or AET certification a plus (not required).

Responsibilities

• Interpret and work from technical drawings, schematics, CMMs, and work instructions.
• Use bench test equipment (spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies).
• Troubleshoot, repair, and test avionics/electronic systems.
• Ensure compliance with FAA regulations and FAR 145 knowledge is a plus.
• Document results using Microsoft Office.
• Communicate with team and OEMs as needed.
