Job summary

Crunch Fitness in Maple Grove seeks a part-time Child Care Associate for weekend shifts. You will supervise children, assist with registrations, and ensure a safe, friendly environment for families using gym facilities.

Responsibilities include activity planning, basic caregiving, maintaining cleanliness, and following all club policies. CPR certification is required by local laws and the role emphasizes strong customer service.

Qualifications

• Shift is 8:00am - 1:00pm Saturday and Sunday.
• Maintain valid Child/Infant CPR.
• Experience working with children.
• Certifications, as local/state laws require.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly atmosphere for members and children.
• Provide proper registration and check-out of children & parents.
• Watch and care for children to ensure safety.
• Provide consistent interaction with children; initiate games, arts & crafts projects.
• Bottle-feed babies or assist in eating needs of older children per parental direction.
• Keep children calm and safe.
• Clean and sanitize child care toys.
• Answer childcare phone and communicate with parents/guardians.
• Know club facility and services; follow policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• Assist in all projects as delegated by club management
• Above position may report to the Assistant Manager or Assistant General Manager where applicable

Physical Requirements:

• Able to lift 10 lbs on occasion
• Needs to be able to stand, bend and squat with frequency
• Able to climb and hang decorations when needed
