Job summary

Redwood Logistics seeks an Afterhours and Weekend Carrier Sales Representative in Chicago, IL. This part-time, onsite/hybrid role focuses on sourcing and developing strong relationships with service providers to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.

You will handle load lifecycle tracking, freight updates, rate negotiations, and coordination with carriers while ensuring accurate billing and records. Weekend shifts are required with some weekday coverage.

Responsibilities

• Track load life cycle from shipment to delivery with emphasis on inbound & outbound calls.
• Communicate freight updates to customers and internal carrier/operations teams.
• Provide and negotiate freight rates to motor carriers and internal sales team as needed.
• Coordinate available customer freight with motor carrier equipment.
• Maintain a file of all open truck shipments and records of trailers in assigned areas.
• Verify freight charges, confirm receipt of Bill of Lading, and resolve payables discrepancies.
