Job summary

Las Cruces Wellness & Rehabilitation seeks an Admissions Coordinator to maintain admission guidelines, market programs, obtain applicant information, screen applicants, complete the admissions process, and resolve resident concerns during the transition to the center.

You will develop census and quality mix by providing prospective residents and referral sources with information and assistance to the nursing center.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Experience in health care services desirable.
• Familiarity with long-term care and/or health care services useful.
• Presents professional image through appearance, behavior and speech.

Responsibilities

• Maintains admissions guidelines and participates in updating policies.
• Markets programs and facilities, conducts tours for prospective residents and referral sources.
• Handles inquiries and gathers information for admissions and Medicare details.
• Ensures accurate financial verification before admission to reduce AR.
• Screens prospective residents against admission criteria and makes referrals as needed.
• Resolves concerns by investigating and proposing policy changes.
• Keeps knowledge of market areas, origin, and major referral sources.
• Assists census development by contacting referral sources.
• Manages incoming inquiries as needed in line with the sales model.
• Uses clinical inventory to evaluate admission suitability and coordinates with hospital and social services.
