Vista Senior Living Management's Eden Vista Stow community seeks an enthusiastic Activity Aide to enrich residents' daily lives through engaging, safe activities. This part-time weekend role supports physical, emotional, and social well-being and collaborates with care teams to tailor programs.

You will document progress and foster joyful, inclusive experiences. Ideal candidate has compassion, good communication, and a background in healthcare or arts & crafts, with a passion for helping seniors

Qualifications

• Relevant work experience as an Activity Aide in a healthcare setting preferred.
• A passion for working with people.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain cooperative working relationships.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal.
• Problem-solving skills.
• The ability to remain calm and adapt to changing situations.
• Ability to work under stress while remaining caring and kind.
• Ability to understand and work in a variety of situations in a positive and constructive manner.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to set and meet deadlines.
• Ability to be imaginative, creative, and innovative musical/ arts & crafts experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, coordinating and implementing activities to meet residents' needs across physical, spiritual, emotional and intellectual domains.
• Create environments where moments of joy, independence, and wellness are the focus daily.
• Help design programs to encourage socialization among residents.
• Provide entertainment, relaxation, fulfillment and improve daily living skills.
• Prepare and maintain reports on residents' progress.
• Ensure activity areas are safe and well maintained.
• Generate enthusiasm to encourage and motivate participation.
