Job summary

Banner Health Corporate is seeking a full-time Retail Pharmacy Technician in Tucson, AZ. You will preprocess prescriptions, ring at the front counter, fill/refill orders, manage inventory, and support the team under a licensed pharmacist.

Ideal candidates have pharmacy tech licensure/certification (or intern) and 0–2 years of experience, with on-the-job training. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–6 PM, with most major holidays off.

Qualifications

• Requires Pharmacy Technician licensure and active Pharmacy Technician certification OR Pharmacy Intern licensure in the state of practice.
• Minimal experience, typically gained through 0-2 years relevant work experience.
• Ability to attend and successfully complete 160 hours of on the job training required.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret prescriptions under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
• Prepare and dispense the appropriate amount of medication and deliver to the patient.
• Answer phones, accept prescriptions, and communicate with patients in the waiting area.
• Assist with inventory, maintain a clean work environment, and perform other administrative duties as assigned.
• Follow policies and regulatory requirements and perform other work assignments.
