Job summary

Regent Surgical Health in Fort Myers, FL is seeking a PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive perioperative care before and after surgery. The role offers a stable full-time schedule, with no on-call, weekends, or holidays.

You will assess patients, explain procedures, manage the surgical site, monitor recovery, and collaborate with surgeons and anesthesia providers to ensure safe, high-quality care.

Qualifications

• RN license in appropriate State.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients’ physical and mental health, gather medical history, and prepare for surgery.
• Explain the surgical procedure to patient and family.
• Ensure surgical site prep, consent verification, and safety protocols.
• Perform venipuncture and blood draws as needed.
• Communicate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the surgical team.
• Monitor vital signs and recovery from anesthesia.
• Administer pain medication and manage pain.
• Assess readiness for discharge or transfer and provide discharge instructions.
• Ensure supplies, equipment, and medications are ready.
• Document nursing care accurately for the healthcare team.
• Operate designated equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education

RN license in appropriate State
