Job summary

Regent Surgical Health in Florida is seeking a Per Diem PreOp/PACU RN to provide comprehensive perioperative care, preparing patients for surgery, monitoring vital signs, and guiding recovery to discharge with safety and compassion. This role emphasizes collaboration with surgeons and anesthesia teams, maintaining thorough documentation, venipuncture when needed, and ensuring readiness of supplies and equipment.

This is a Per Diem position!

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• RN license in appropriate State (Florida).
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients’ health and prepare them for surgery.
• Explain procedures and set expectations for patients and families.
• Ensure sterile field and safety protocols are followed.
• Perform venipuncture and blood draws as needed.
• Monitor vitals during recovery and manage pain as prescribed.
• Communicate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and staff.
• Document nursing care accurately and completely.
• Prepare supplies and equipment for procedures.
• Discharge instructions and readiness assessment.
