Job summary

Skilled Wound Care in Jackson, MS seeks an Emergency Medicine Physician to lead wound care initiatives in skilled nursing facilities. The role emphasizes procedural practice and collaboration with post-acute teams, offering a no-call, no-nights, weekday schedule.

MD or DO with an unrestricted license is required, plus DEA license eligibility. Training in wound care is provided and employment may be full-time or part-time.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited institution.
• Unrestricted medical license in the state of practice (or eligibility to obtain one).
• DEA license (or eligibility to obtain one).
• No prior wound care experience required; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Perform surgical and bedside debridement and other procedures.
• Evaluate and treat chronic, non-healing and complex wounds.
• Apply advanced dressings and wound protocols.
• Coordinate care in skilled nursing facilities and post-acute settings to follow patients through healing.
