Job summary

Skilled Wound Care in Baton Rouge, LA is seeking Acute Care Surgeons to provide wound care within skilled nursing facilities. This Monday–Friday role emphasizes no nights or weekends for full-time or part-time schedules and supports surgeons to maintain bedside procedures and clinical autonomy.

Compensation ranges from $250,000 to $500,000 per year for full-time, with performance bonuses and per-patient pay. MD/DO and active license required; extensive wound care training provided.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Unrestricted/clear medical license in the state of practice (or eligibility to obtain one).
• DEA license or eligibility to obtain one.
• No prior wound care experience required; comprehensive wound care training provided.

Responsibilities

• Perform surgical and bedside debridement and other bedside procedures.
• Evaluate and treat chronic, non-healing, and complex wounds.
• Use advanced dressings and wound protocols in collaborative post-acute settings.
• Coordinate care across skilled nursing facilities to track healing outcomes.
