Job summary

Saint Joseph’s College of Maine is seeking a per diem Bartender for the Stone Barn at Sebago Lake in Standish, ME. You will manage bar service for events, greet guests, mix drinks, handle cash, and ensure smooth operations with a focus on guest satisfaction.

Position offers flexible scheduling for days, nights, and weekends during weddings and ticketed events. Prior bartending experience and valid certifications are preferred; background checks are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Some bartending experience required.
• TIPS, RServing or equivalent certification.
• Ability to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Unload, arrange, clean, and restock bar equipment, ice, and glassware before, during, and after events.
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to recipe standards.
• Greet guests, take orders, make recommendations, and provide fast, polite service.
• Check IDs to verify age and refuse service to intoxicated guests, complying with laws and regulations.
• Monitor stock levels, restock supplies, and handle cash/credit transactions using POS systems.
• Stay knowledgeable on beverage recipes and trends.
• Report any impaired behavior or guest issues to the event supervisor.
• Maintain professional presence and ensure tasks are completed with urgency.
