Thimble Alterations LLC is seeking an independent contractor to alter bridal gowns, bridesmaid dresses, and other formalwear. You will perform fittings, take precise measurements, and communicate timelines clearly to clients. Work from home with flexible scheduling.

You’ll receive local client requests via the platform and have the opportunity to grow repeat business and reviews through your profile. Strong garment construction knowledge and precision are essential, with machine and hand sewing

Qualifications

• Proven experience with bridal and/or women's formalwear alterations.
• Strong garment construction knowledge and precision measuring.
• Machine and hand sewing proficiency.
• Professional communication and customer service.

Responsabilités

• Alter wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses, and mother-of-the-bride/groom dresses (hemming, bustle, bodice/waist, straps, cups, zippers).
• Work with structured bridal gowns (multiple layers, lace, beading, linings, boning/tulle).
• Conduct fittings, take precise measurements, and communicate timelines clearly.
• Deliver high-quality finishing and maintain an organized workspace suitable for fittings.
• Receive requests for prom dresses, evening gowns, cocktail dresses, suits, and other formalwear.

What You'll Do

• Alter wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses, and mother-of-the-bride/groom dresses (hemming, bustle, bodice/waist, straps, cups, zippers)
• Work with structured bridal gowns (multiple layers, lace, beading, linings, boning/tulle)
• Conduct fittings, take precise measurements, and communicate timelines clearly
• Deliver high-quality finishing and maintain an organized workspace suitable for fittings
• We also receive requests for prom dresses, evening gowns, cocktail dresses, suits, and other formalwear.
