Thimble Alterations LLC is seeking an experienced seamstress specializing in bridal and women's formalwear for remote, contractor work from home.

In this role you will alter wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses, and mother-of-the-bride/groom outfits, conduct fittings with precise measurements, communicate timelines clearly, and deliver high-quality finishing while keeping an organized workspace. You can grow repeat clients and build your reviews on the platform.

Qualifikationen

• Proven experience with bridal and/or women's formalwear alterations.
• Strong garment construction knowledge and precise measuring.
• Machine and hand sewing proficiency; professional communication and customer service.

Aufgaben

• Alter bridal and bridesmaid gowns, and mother-of-the-bride/groom outfits (hemming, bustles, zippers, etc.).
• Work with structured bridal gowns (layers, lace, beading).
• Conduct fittings, take precise measurements, and communicate timelines clearly.
• Deliver high-quality finishing and maintain an organized workspace suitable for fittings.
• Handle requests for prom dresses and other formalwear as they arise.

What You'll Do

• Alter wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses, and mother-of-the-bride/groom dresses (hemming, bustle, bodice/waist, straps, cups, zippers)
• Work with structured bridal gowns (multiple layers, lace, beading, linings, boning/tulle)
• Conduct fittings, take precise measurements, and communicate timelines clearly
• Deliver high-quality finishing and maintain an organized workspace suitable for fittings
• We also receive requests for prom dresses, evening gowns, cocktail dresses, suits, and other formalwear.

• Proven experience with bridal and/or women's formalwear alterations
• Strong garment construction knowledge + precision measuring
• Machine + hand sewing proficiency
• Professional communication and customer service
