Job summary

Thimble Alterations LLC is seeking a remote, independent contractor to alter bridal and formalwear for clients in the United States. You will handle wedding gowns, bridesmaid and mother-of-the-bride/groom alterations, including fittings and precise measurements.

The role offers flexible scheduling and the potential to grow repeat client reviews through your platform profile. Responsibilities include working with structured gowns, delivering high-quality finishes, and communicating timelines

Qualifications

• Proven experience with bridal and/or women's formalwear alterations.
• Strong garment construction knowledge with precision measuring.
• Machine and hand sewing proficiency.
• Professional communication and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Alter wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses, and mother-of-the-bride/groom dresses (hemming, bustle, bodice/waist, straps, cups, zippers)
• Work with structured bridal gowns (multiple layers, lace, beading, linings, boning/tulle)
• Conduct fittings, take precise measurements, and communicate timelines clearly
• Deliver high-quality finishing and maintain an organized workspace suitable for fittings
• We also receive requests for prom dresses, evening gowns, cocktail dresses, suits, and other formalwear.

• Work with structured bridal gowns (multiple layers, lace, beading, linings, boning/tulle)
• Conduct fittings, take precise measurements, and communicate timelines clearly
• Deliver high-quality finishing and maintain an organized workspace suitable for fittings
• We also receive requests for prom dresses, evening gowns, cocktail dresses, suits, and other formalwear.
