Job summary

SLB is seeking a WEC Drilling Engineer in the United States to help deliver safe, efficient, and reliable project execution. You will craft optimized technical job designs and provide real-time support to PSD operations, guiding risk management and continuous improvement.

You will collaborate with operations, sales, and technical teams to evaluate feasibility, apply lessons learned, and ensure cost-efficient service delivery across multiple product lines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field (PET/ME/CH) or equivalent experience.
• Experience in drilling engineering, well construction, or a related technical discipline.
• Proven ability to develop and optimize technical job designs and provide operational support.
• Experience evaluating performance and applying lessons learned to future designs.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; ability to manage stakeholders.
• Ability to work in a cross-functional team with operations, technical, sales, and commercial groups.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Develop technical job designs as required for the Product Line.
• Identify areas for applying new and cost-effective techniques.
• Explore opportunities for value-added products and services.
• Provide technical support throughout the service delivery process.
• Communicate the value of technology and interpretations clearly.
• Consult with subject matter experts to optimize the technical design.
• Support PSD execution with design changes due to scope or incidents.
• Assist in incident response, recovery, and investigation.
• Support multiple Product Line operations in collaborative design.
• Assist sales and commercial teams in evaluating technical viability and tenders.
• Analyze job execution vs. design and capture improvements and lessons learned.
