The Planet Group is looking for a Website Experience Strategist to join our client, a market-leading technology company that's transforming how organizations engage and empower their workforce.

The Website Experience Strategist will shape the website experience, helping buyers find relevant content, understand company products, and take the next step. Drawing on UX expertise, buyer research, and web analytics, this person will identify friction in navigation and buyer journeys, guide new page experiences, and improve engagement and conversion. They will keep site content current and establish a roadmap for usability testing, experimentation, and personalization. Working with web, content, product marketing, brand, demand generation, analytics, and creative teams, they will turn business priorities into coordinated site improvements. They will also align the experience with search, Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), and Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) best practices.

Website Experience Strategist Responsibilities:
  • Own the website experience strategy and a prioritized improvement roadmap across key pages, product experiences, and buyer journeys.
  • Partner with content and product marketing teams to keep site content accurate, current, compelling, and aligned to business priorities and buyer needs.
  • Map and optimize paths from discovery through evaluation and conversion, including navigation, calls to action, self-guided demos, and other product proof.
  • Analyze web activity, engagement, search behavior, and conversion performance; translate findings into actionable recommendations and clear stakeholder updates.
  • Use buyer research, behavioral data, and usability testing to identify friction in the site experience and guide improvements to journeys, navigation, and new pages.
  • Set a testing roadmap with hypotheses, success measures, and a process for applying what is learned to the broader site.
  • Develop a practical personalization strategy for priority audiences and journeys, including use cases, content requirements, measurement, and a phased rollout.
  • Advise business stakeholders on website experience best practices, content quality, accessibility, and effective use of the site, including new page creation and optimization.
  • Monitor competitor sites, emerging buyer behaviors, and industry best practices to identify opportunities.
  • Partner with AI visibility business partners to apply GEO and AEO principles to site structure, content, and product discovery.
  • Coordinate with web operations, design, analytics, and other teams to scope improvements, resolve dependencies, and assess results after launch.
Website Experience Strategist Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in website strategy, digital experience, conversion optimization, digital marketing, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated UX experience improving complex websites, including journey mapping, information architecture, usability research, and translating findings into page and navigation recommendations.
  • Experience using web analytics and search data to identify opportunities, define success measures, and make clear recommendations.
  • Hands-on experience with content management systems and familiarity with experimentation and personalization tools or programs.
  • Working knowledge of SEO, GEO, AEO, and content practices that support discovery across traditional and AI-powered search.
  • Ability to influence and coordinate cross-functional stakeholders while managing competing priorities and moving work through execution.
  • Strong written communication, presentation, and analytical skills, with the ability to explain findings to both technical and business audiences.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
